WOW, I am so impressed that you are friends with Trina Turk!
OMG - you guys are too cute! I think I'm seeing it on Thursday with some girlfriends while my hubby and sons are away on a boys' trip!! Can't WAIT to see it. I know I'm going to like it cuz I'm forever and always a big Tom Cruise fan and I love musicals and I know Diego Boneta's family (his sister is one of my son's close friends), and - wow- what an amazing cast!!I hope everyone had a great Father's Day. Ross, did the pups doing something special for you and Sal?? We just got home from our annual FD dinner at the in laws - 'twas lovely as always!! Have a great evening, blog buddies!
I think I'll just rent "Hair" again. ;)
Hey Ross! Arden seems nice and all but she is NO Nikki Boyer!! We want Nikki back!!!
I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A MOVIE IN OVER 30 PLUS YEARS. THE LAST TIME I WENT TO A MOVIE WAS IN TAMPA. WHEN THE LIGHTS CAME ON IT WAS SO DIRTY I ALMOST PU////. I SWORE I'D NEVER GO TO A THEATER AGAIN. NEVER DID. I CAN'T GET THE PICTURE OF HOW DIRTY THE PLACE WAS THROUGHOUT.I KNOW I MISS OUT ON SOME GOOD MOVIES BUT THAT'S LIFE. I GIVE YOU 4 BOOM FOR YOUR REVIEW.I WAS GOING TO GIVE YOU ONE BOOM FOR GIVING THAT 18 YEAR OLD ON THE TONIGHT NO MEAL BUT I LOVE YOU TO MUCH TO BE MEAN. LOLGRANNY
Saw Rock of Ages yesterday and loved it. I would give it four and one-half booms. It was like Glee on steroids. Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand were hilarious. Tom Cruise was his usual amazing self and I thought his performance really anchored the movie. The only problem I saw was the sometimes jarring effects like the Rolling Stone's reporter's giant tongue. Wowza! What in the h** was that?
I agree MUCH more with you Ross than Arden. I cannot bare to pay to see this movie in theaters though, so I will wait to till it comes on Netflix.
too funny - i love hearing other people's opinion on this movie...i personally can no longer give TC my $$ - but of course my sons and my hubby did and they loved the music the most!love to watch you and Arden -
I thought Tom Cruise's performance was outstanding! Every time he was on the screen, I would just grin from ear to ear!
Ross, How about reviewing that ne independent movie Bernie" with Jack Black? It's a true story set in East Texas about a very popular man who kills his older lover who everybody hated. Everyone loves the Jack Black character though, because he gets the older woman to help the town in a lot of ways. Jack Black actually visited the real man and Jack said the man is super popular in prison too and just about running the whole thing! I live near Milwaukee and of course this movie is only playing at the art house theaters- as if people from Wisconsin only will see the blockbusters!
