Currently, Ross continues his Tonight Show correspondent duties, is a weekly regular panelist and occasional guest host on E!'s hit late-night talk show Chelsea Lately and a fixture on the E! Networks' live red carpet award show coverage and E! News.
In February 2011, Mathews began a national college tour speaking about his experiences climbing the Hollywood ladder and discussing his humorous take on pop culture. Many of his tour dates were documented on E! News's political series 'Pop & Politics'.
In August of 2011, The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that the E! Network had signed Ross to a talent deal to increase his presence on the network. Included in that deal is a talk show pilot to be produced by Chelsea Handler's Borderline Amazing Productions that Mathews will host, write and co-produce. Production began in February, 2013.
Leading up to the 2012 Presidential Election, Ross was the official political reporter for E! News. He covered both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions where he interviewed politicians including First Lady Michelle Obama, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former Republican Presidential nominee, John McCain. In January of 2013, The Hollywood Reporter announced Ross' book deal. 'Man Up!' will be released May 7, 2013 and is available for pre-order now.
Other programs Ross has appeared on in the past decade include NBC's 1 Vs 100 and Phenomenon, as a guest co-host of ABC's The View, as a contestant on the fifth season of VH1’s highly popular Celebrity Fit Club, as a celebrity correspondent the entertainment news programs Extra and CBS's The Insider, as the recurring character "Chris" on Days of Our Lives, as the co-host of The Game Show Network's Big Saturday Night, OWN's Ask Oprah's All-Stars, as himself in ABC Family's holiday movie Christmas Cupid, Bravo's Interior Therapy, ABC Family's Beverly Hills Nannies Reunion, HGTV's House Hunters, E!'s Studio E! and E!'s After Lately.
Ross resides in Los Angeles with his family.
